Eric Crowhurst is regarded as one of England's foremost bridge players and theorists, with numerous successes in congresses and other national competitions. He is also one of the leading points winners in the English Bridge Union's Master Points Scheme and in 1975 he became the thirteenth player to reach the distinguished rank of grand Master. Hs is considered the world's leading authority on the Acol bidding system. |

Although now rather dated (first published in 1974 and 1980 resp.) Eric's two finest books are
undoubtedly Precision Bidding in Acol and Acol in Competition . These two books are the 'bibles' of Acol bidding and I refer to them constantly in the Pattaya bridge club news-sheets. Highly recommended and not easy to get. |
