All manual Traffic Exchanges have the same basic idea, but they are not all equal. You are wasting your time surfing an exchange with only a few hundred members, and you are also wasting your time surfing with a ratio of around 3:1 or 2:1. You should be surfing popular sites with an effective ratio of 4:3 (i.e. 3 hits for 4 page views) or better. By 'effective ratio' I mean the hits you get when you take bonuses and prize pages into account. Remember that you need to earn a decent number of hits and also reach a large audience, so surf EasyHits4U every day and vary the other sites as indicated below and be sure to check your e-mails before surfing for exchanges giving powersurfs.



	The No 1 ranked traffic exchange

With a 1:1 surf ratio and frequent bonuses, Easyhits4u is easily the most popular traffic exchange site with a huge membership of over 400,000. There are prize pages after 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200... pages surfed and the prizes increase greatly with more pages surfed. You can also choose to have country targetting. This hit exchange is so far ahead of the competition that there really is no comparrison. I generally surf 8 exchanges at the same time with a tabbed browser (I use Firefox) and this exchange is always one of them. Essential for the serious surfer.

		Webmaster Quest and TrafficG are also part of my staple diet which I frequently surf. They both have a 1:1 surf ratio (Traffic G actually rises to 110%), both have country targetting and both three allow unlimited URLs.

Powersurfing is probably the most important factor in getting good returns/ratios for you surfing. Numerous exchanges have frequent 'powersurfs' giving increased ratios for a period of time, notifying you when by e-mail. Some of the best are New Way Surf, Hit 2 Hit, High-Hits, Rain Forrest and Traffic Punk. A complete list is given by clicking the banner on the left.

The Nerd Surf Club is a joint venture between Sweeva , Start X change , Thumbview and I Love Hits which gives you increased ratios for surfing all four exchanges at the same time. Click the Nerd Surfing banner on the left for details.

Power Surf Central is a joint venture between Hit Safari , Soaring 4 Traffic and Real Hitz 4 U which gives huge daily, weekly and monthly bonus for surfing all three exchanges. I generally surf 200 a day at each for a month and then have two months off. All three have generous prize pages. Additionally, surf 250 in one day at Hit Safari and you get 20 (sometimes 50) free credits at Deep Sea Hits.

The Elite Surf Club is a joint venture between Blue Surf , Royal Surf and Traffic Witch which gives increased surf ratios and bonuses for surfing four times a week. You need to surf 50, 100 or 250 at each site for four days in a week and you then get increased ratios the next week according to whether you are in the 50, 100 or 250 club.

Commando Surf is a joint venture between Traffic Splash, Tezak Traffic Power , and Dragon Surf which gives you an 10% or more increase for surfing all three exchanges (and optional guest exchanges) at the same time.

Three of my favorite sites: Aim High Traffic has a 2:1 surf ratio but if you surf 200 pages in one day you get an upgrade (1:1 ratio) for seven more days. Traffic Exchange XL gives you a 1:1 ratio when you surf 75+ in one day. Web Centre Surf builds up to a 1:1 ratio with frequent surfing.

Three more of my favorite sites: Eternal Hits has a 5:4 ratio and allows unlimited URLs. Wild 4 Hits has a great 3:4 ratio, frequent prize pages, and pays $0.2 per 1000 page views. Frog Hits is a new site with a 4:3 ratio and daily banner and text bonuses for surfing 50.

Free traffic World has a 2:1 ratio but has a great daily bonus. Surf 25 and you get 10 extra credits (+ 100 banner and 100 text); this, together with a regular 2 credit bonus on the surfbar and a letter search gives an effective ratio of well over1:1. You get even more if you surf 250 or 500 and you also get 100 free credits every month for being active.

Pyro Hits has a decent 4:3 ratio, but more significantly, they have a great feature where you surf 50 sites a day for 5 days out of 7 for the week and get a Friday night gift of 50 hits, 100 banner and 100 text imp; this is in addition to the daily log-in bonus and prize pages. So surfing this min 250 sites effectively gives you a 0.2 surf ratio increase; from 0.75 to 0.95. On top of this you get the daily login bonus and prizes. Also Teams surf.

Another way to get extra credits at numerous exchanges is to join exchanges that give a daily log in bonus. I surf a few pages at all of these sites every day and get great bonuses.

Some traffic exchanges give a free upgrade either for a limited period or for life. The most significant of these are Hits Booster pro, Major League Hits and High-Hits but there are many more. Click the banner for a complete list.

There are a lot of misleading adverts for Traffic Gold Rush - its does not have a 1:1 ratio but is mainly 3:1. However, there are frequent periods of 1:1 surfing (the 'Gold Rush') lasting about a minute. So the way to get the most out of this exchange is to surf it in rotation with 7 or 8 other sites and when you see the ratio change to 1:1 then surf two others and come back to it and resume rotation when the 'Gold Rush' is over. This procedure gives about 60 hits per 100 page views and combined with the very numerous prize pages (loads of credts, banners, text and cash), generous active surfer rewards and the frequent in-house jackpots this gives an effective ratio of around 1:1 with more than enoughh banner/text impressions than you will ever need.

I am not that keen on 'Jackpot' exchanges where you have to surf many hundreds of sites at three or so exchanges, but Traffic Gold Rush and Traffic Taxis are excellent exchanges and Gold Rush has its own individual in house jackpot.
